Helga Sandburg:
Blueberry (Kristin ja tummaharja in finns)
Gingerbread (Tummaharjan Varsa in finns )

I have read these books earlier in childhood. Them influenssed me very much because personally narrative style. Books told young girl Kristin and her life in Michigan. Kristin have two older sister, Ma who have cafeteria and Pa, who don't understand Kristin (anyway Kristin feels so). Kristin and her sisters are very fond of Animals.  Kristin's great love is Horse, Blueberry and later also Gingerbread, Blueberry's foal. Life in Michigan doesn't easy, happen's sad thing as Kristin's sister's "killer dog" killed Kristin's little lamb and Gingerbread to get blind in stormy day. What Kristin to do?  In book is anyway happy end. Kristin don't give up, she grow up and get sense of responsibility. Also Kristin's and her father's relationship  to get closer. I r read and enjoy.  In the Gingerbread's "first page" is quotation , which I like specially. Verse of William Blake

The Angel that presided o'er my birth
said: "Little Creature, form'd of joy and mirth,
Go, love without the help of anything on earth."
Then Cherish pity, lest you drive an angel from your doo
